Pictures of the facility

Our modern interior is immediately appealing and inviting thanks to the light-flooded rooms.

In our house there are 4 spacious group rooms, each of which has an adjoining room. In addition, there is a function room in the immediate vicinity of each group. These 4 function rooms are all furnished differently and adapted to the needs of the children. For example, there is a snoezel room and a large role play area.

There is a separate washroom for each group on the ground floor and a shared washroom on the upper floor. There is a changing area in each of these rooms.

Our kitchen features an integrated children's kitchen and can therefore be used together with the children at any time, for example for baking.

Our large gym is used by the children every day and offers enough space for a wide variety of exercise activities. Our corridor areas can also be used as a play area. For example, the lower corridor area will be converted into a bobby car track and the children can let off steam there.

Our school children are particularly proud that they have their own room and that they can decorate it according to their own interests.

Finally, we would like to mention our mud room, which makes our facility something very special. In it, you can experiment with kinetic sand or water in everyday life. Special offers also take place in this room, such as splashing with finger paint, shaving foam, etc.

Team

The employees of our institution are the heart of the educational work.

Our day care center stands out with a high staff ratio.

It makes us particularly proud that, despite our differences, we can show great teamwork and that our good pedagogical work can also be attributed to this.

Of course, we continue to educate ourselves and take part in training and courses, such as prevention training or in-house training.

An educational planning day also takes place twice a year, where we can plan the new kindergarten year, organize festivals or have a lively exchange. These days are of great importance to us, because they give us the opportunity to reflect on our work and to continuously develop it.

Parents advice

We see ourselves as a family-supplementing facility and would like to enable the children, together with their legal guardians, to have the best possible development and support.

In our eyes, the parents are the experts of their child, so we attach great importance to trusting parent work. Our goal is to build a trusting educational partnership in which we support each other and act on an equal footing.

A constant exchange is particularly important to us in order to be able to accompany the children in the best possible way. This takes place through daily door talks and annual parent talks. We are also on hand with help and advice in special situations.

The Parents' Council is elected annually during the Parents' General Assembly from among the parents. This consists of 8 members (2 per group).

Site plan

The St. Marien kindergarten is centrally located in Steinfurt-Borghorst.
In the immediate vicinity is the Marienkirche, the Don Bosco home and a soccer field. We often visit the Marienkirche in particular for projects or celebrations.

Supermarkets, playgrounds, bus stops and the train station are nearby. This gives us the opportunity to explore Borghorst and the surrounding area using public transport. For example we visited the library in Borghorst, explored the Bagno in Steinfurt, etc.
