Pictures of the facility

Exterior area

Our spacious outdoor area is divided into a front and a rear area. In the rear area there is a double swing, a wide slope, a climbing frame for our youngest children, a ship with sand, gymnastic bars, a large sandbox, two wooden horses and a climbing tower with many play options that was newly installed in June 2019.

In the front area of the day-care center there is a hilly landscape with a tunnel system and a slide. A large climbing frame, a nest swing, a seesaw and a bobby car complete the offer.

It is important to us that all children move freely on the outdoor area and use the area according to their individual abilities. Our middle and older children are allowed to play outside independently in groups of two.

Furnishings and premises

The three groups, as well as the spacious gymnasium and the staff area lead off from the large entrance area.

Each group has a group room, an adjoining room (room for differentiation), as well as a cloakroom with access to the outside area and a washroom.

In the summer of 2016, the Sonnenkinder a sleeping and differentiation room, as well as a changing room for our under three year old children.

Our facility is surrounded by a spacious outdoor area and extends around the entire facility building. The kitchen was completely renovated in the summer of 2018 and now offers space for cooking and baking together.

Our Team

We attach great importance to a good team culture. For us, this means that we communicate openly and honestly. Feelings, difficulties and worries can and should be named in order to avoid subliminal conflicts. We strive for an appreciative cooperation and support each other in the upcoming tasks. For decisions that can be made at team level, we strive for consensus. The decisions made in this way are supported by everyone and communicated and implemented "with one voice" to parents. Educators work with their personality, i.e. our values and attitudes always flow into the educational work with the child. Therefore, we attach great importance to regular child meetings, in which we reflect on our educational behavior, exchange ideas with colleagues and plan educational steps for the benefit of each individual child. Each educator brings their very own quality, personality and expertise to the work process and is valued for it.

Groups and staff

There are three groups in our facility. The bird children group, the flower children group and the sun children group. The bird and flower children groups are currently attended by 22 children aged 3-6 years. Together, the children learn with and from each other and playfully learn about the world around them. We support them and accompany them through their development steps. In addition, the prospective school children are prepared for school here with appropriate offers, activities and excursions.

The Sonnenkindergruppe is our U3 group. 16 children between the ages of 2 and 3 are currently cared for here. A carefully designed adjustment phase is particularly important for our little ones. You have the opportunity to accompany your child, especially in the first few days, until it has really got to know us and has gained confidence in us. We pick up the children from where they are in their individual development and support them in knowledge and skills.

Location/ embedding in social area

Our facility is located on a quiet cul-de-sac on a play street. The turning area at the end of the cul-de-sac is often used for playing with vehicles and for extensive romping. Surrounded by single and multi-family houses, the disused railway line, a mosque and public shops are in the immediate vicinity. Families from a radius of about 2 kilometers visit our facility.

Our parent council

The Parents' Council is elected at the beginning of a new kindergarten year by the parents of the kindergarten children in accordance with the current election regulations. This is currently made up of 8 representatives. The elected parents are the official representation of parenthood. They are the contact persons for the interests and concerns of the parents and represent the interests of the parents towards the provider and the management, taking into account the interests of the children.

For us, close cooperation and regular contact between legal guardians, the educational staff and the provider is the prerequisite for good educational work. So that both parents and children feel comfortable with us, we work in partnership with the parents. Our dealings with each other are characterized by appreciation, acceptance and understanding. We want to work transparently and invite you to take part in life in our facility and to share responsibility for the well-being of the children.

In addition, two members each of the parents' council, members of the educational staff, the association management and the church council form the council of the day-care center. This committee meets on certain occasions and decides, among other things, framework conditions (e.g. admission criteria, closing days, conceptual changes, etc.) that are relevant to the facility. The day-care center council meets at least once a year.
